BARANGAROO WOOD TOWER

Residential | Urban Gardening

An ensemble of vertical garden towers mimicking trees, shape the landscape along the shore, building a soft transition from the Barangaroo reserve and park into the the urban life of the CBD of Sydney. Most of the land remains as gardens and open spaces for public use. A concrete core and concrete floors between seven to ten meters high, allow for a wooden structure without the fire protection issues. The timber substructure brings back the aspect of nature and the feeling of being in a cabin in the bushes, surrounded by Australian native gardens.

Each floor plan has been divided into quarters, offering an open and private facade to each apartment. This trans- lucent facade allows views of the Australian native gar- dens and light into every inner space, connecting the busy city life with the nature.
